Returns Policy

We hope that you enjoy using our site. We’ve prepared this Returns Policy to help you feel more comfortable and confident about how you can return items. We have tried to keep this page as short as we legally can. However, the full-text wording is important and legally binding.

We are Soft Options. We are registered in England. Our registered number is ………. and our registered office is at 1, Enterprise House, Thomlinson Rd, Hartlepool TS25 1NS

But, for the purposes of this Returns Policy, it’s just easier if we refer to ourselves as “we”.

Due to the nature of our business, considers each customer order to be a custom produced order. For this reason we are unable to accept returns on the fact that the customer either does not like the fabric/product, it is the wrong shade or deems it unsuitable.
The only reason we will accept a return is if the fabric/product is damaged, or we have sent the incorrect fabric or the wrong quantity.

We strongly urge customers to request samples of the fabric before ordering (these usually can be sent and delivered within 48 hours). Customers who order without requesting samples, do so at their own risk.

Check & Inspect The Fabric Before Cutting or Using

All fabrics and products must be inspected and checked before the customer cuts it.
If goods are received damaged we would advise they should be signed for as such and we must be advised in writing immediately, email communication is acceptable.

We may ask customers to provide photographs showing the problem. Once a return has been agreed, goods will be exchanged without delay. Or a refund will be issued

No claims will be accepted or exchanged once the material has been cut. We would advise customers to fully inspect fabric prior to processing.

Batch & Colour

Soft Options Shop takes all reasonable precautions to ensure batch and colour are consistent and work within industry guidelines. The fabrics shown on our website are an accurate representation of the actual product but we cannot be held responsible for variations caused by monitor/browser settings which may influence the colours of the fabric.

Minor Weave Faults 

Small faults can be present in a roll of fabric due to the nature of the weaving process. In these cases Soft Options Shop will take all reasonable steps to minimise the number of faults present and will make appropriate allowances in accordance with industry guidelines.

Returns are not accepted for reasons relating to the presence of faults.

Returns can only be accepted or credited with prior agreement, therefore we would ask customers to email within 7 days of receipt of goods.

Order Cancellation

Orders can only be accepted if it has not been processed by Soft Options Shop. We aim to process orders the same working day so customers need to be aware of this. We would not accept a cancellation if goods have been cut and prepared for delivery in which case customers will be expected to pay in full for goods ordered.


Return Carriage

Any goods being returned would be the responsibility of the customer to pay for unless the goods were either faulty or the order was sent out in error, in which case Soft Options Shop will return the postage in full.

We would advise when sending items back to use a track and signature service for your peace of mind.


The laws of England and Wales govern these Conditions and all disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
